IBIE 2013 Las Vegas
October 6-9, 2013

Sollich North America presents solutions for chocolate and confectionery production by the industry leaders Sollich, Chocotech, and Dumoulin at booth # 10809 during IBIE 2013 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Sollich North America offers a wide range of equipment for the chocolate, confectionery, gum, snack and bakery industries. Solutions for other key industries such as pharmaceutical and pet food are also covered. Various applications include confectionery cooking, enrobing, tempering, cooling and bar forming as well as chocolate and sugar panning.

Sollich Logo

Sollich KG of Germany is the leading global supplier of enrobers, tempering systems, cooling tunnels and bar forming equipment with a complete line of optional auxiliary equipment.

Sollich will have on display their Enromat® M5 Dairy enrober, newly developed chocolate compound conditioner skid CCS 600 and the Minitemper MT 200 VA in wash-down execution.

Sollich’s new “Dairy” line is based on GMA’s Sanitary Design Principles and includes complete bar forming, cooling and enrobing equipment incorporating sanitary features not found with competing systems in the marketplace. Sollich’s Enromat® M5 enrober in Dairy execution offers hygienic features such as: a single piece wire belt drive shaft, removable bottoming station and shaker grid, removable blower funnel with MERV 14 filter, dairy fittings on all mass pipe connections, specially designed bearing housings, 3A or EHEDG design valves as well as a positive displacement pump for full CIP. The design of this enrober was driven in partnership with select Sollich clients whose unrestricted input and sharing of ideas will advance the industry as a whole by reducing downtime and avoiding product recalls. The M5 Dairy coater also incorporates state-of-the-art technology that is reflected in all aspects of its individual components. One example is the patented wire tensioned detailer system, which has eliminated the clips normally required to hold the detailer rod in place.

A new addition to Sollich’s product lineup is a chocolate compound conditioning skid - the CCS 600. This unique unit is designed to feed the Enromat M5 Dairy enrober. When used together, a significant reduction in the cleaning process is archived due to fewer mechanical components in the system. The CCS 600 efficiently handles the enrobing mass outside the enrober and delivers the conditioned compound free of crumbs or other inclusions straight to the enrobing station. Another advantage of the system is the ability to set and maintain precise handling temperatures with minimal deviations in compound masses. A trend within the chocolate industry now required in a typical production line. Accuracy is guaranteed via the integrated temperature control system and heat-exchanger. The many new features of Sollich’s Enromat M5 Dairy enrober combined with the compound conditioning skid CCS 600 provides a unique solution for a wide range of bakery enrobing applications.

Another addition to Sollich’s extensive hygienic equipment offering is the newly developed Minitemper MT 200 VA in wash-down design. Sollich's signature mini tempering machine now includes a stainless steel tempering column. The Minitemper MT 200 VA enables quick and easy change-overs between fat-based masses like chocolate and compound making this machine an integral part of any hygienic decorating system. In addition, the MT 200 VA allows for efficient washing with water between incompatible or different colored coatings thus saving coatings previously wasted on flushing. Just another advantage of this “mini” machine.

Chocotech Logo

Chocotech GmbH, the sister company of Sollich KG, offers state of the art solutions for confectionery kitchens producing caramel, fondant, aerated products, jelly, hard candy, fruit snacks, binders, brittle and Halwa. In response to today’s worldwide demand for energy saving solutions, Chocotech has brought to market a new patent-pending technology. This innovative ECOGRAV® (first introduced at Interpack 2011) has shown up to 50% in energy savings for confectionery manufacturers producing hard candy, chewy candy, aerated candy and fondants.

Chocotech will exhibit the Princess ECOGRAV® designed for pilot plant use. It consists of a gravimetric weighing unit for sugar and corn syrup with an integrated dissolver. The dissolver takes into account the water content of the corn syrup enabling a stable and clear solution. Up to 90% of dry solids can be metered to the cooker without adding water to the premix. This results in an impressive increase in dry solids when compared to conventional industry practices (metering 75% dry solids to the cooker). With the ECOGRAV®’s higher solid content, fewer vapors are formed causing less condensate and directly improving energy requirements.

Dumoulin Logo

Dumoulin manufactures a complete range of automatic high capacity panning systems in batch sizes up to 6,600 lbs. One important advantage of a Dumoulin machine is their innovative design resulting in the smallest bed depth of any similar unit. This in turn means that all Dumoulin drums are gentle on delicate centers. Shallow bed depth also increases the amount of surface area in contact with freshly conditioned air. This reduces processing time which allows the coating to be distributed very quickly and evenly over all centers. Although not exhibiting equipment, Dumoulin will be represented and literature will be available.

Booth #10809 will be staffed by Bob Limburg, John Holland and Danila Daniloff of Sollich North America, Peter Koch and Jürgen Lindhauer from Sollich KG, Paulo Coco from Chocotech GmbH, and Tony Puchtinger and Alex Heidemann from Sollich KG’s service department.
